Terms of Service

1. Agreement
These Terms govern the website, software, dashboards, financial analysis, reports and related services provided by ClearCFO LLC (ClearCFO, we, us). By accepting these Terms or using the Service, you agree to them. If acting for a business, you represent that you have authority to bind that business.
2. Accounts
You must be at least 18, provide accurate information, protect your credentials and notify us of unauthorized use. You are responsible for activity under your account.
3. Service and financial disclaimer
ClearCFO helps users understand financial information and identify areas for attention. It is software and decision support, not a CPA firm, accountant, auditor, tax adviser, lawyer, investment adviser or fiduciary. AI-generated explanations and recommendations can contain errors or omissions. Verify material conclusions against source records and consult qualified professionals when appropriate. We do not guarantee financial or business results.
4. Customer data
You retain your rights in data you submit or connect. You grant ClearCFO the limited rights to receive, process, analyze, transmit and display that data as needed to provide the Service. You are responsible for having permission to provide it and for its accuracy, completeness and timeliness. Our Privacy Policy describes information handling.
5. Subscriptions, trial and renewal
Prices and billing intervals are shown before purchase. A 7-day trial requires a payment method. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, Stripe charges the selected subscription price when the trial ends and automatically at each renewal. Monthly subscriptions renew monthly; annual subscriptions renew annually and are charged for the full year. Applicable taxes are disclosed at checkout. Signing up for an account alone does not start a paid subscription.
6. Cancellation and refunds
Cancel through Manage billing in your account before the next renewal or before the trial ends to avoid the next charge. Cancellation stops future renewal; paid access continues through the paid period. Fees already paid are nonrefundable except where required by law. If you cannot access billing management, contact support@theclearcfo.com promptly.
7. Acceptable use
Do not use the Service unlawfully, infringe rights, upload malicious code, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with operation, circumvent usage limits, or reverse engineer except where law permits. Do not submit data you lack authority to share.
8. Intellectual property and feedback
ClearCFO and its licensors retain rights in the software, design, branding and underlying technology. You receive a limited right to use the Service for your internal business purposes during authorized access. We may use feedback to improve the Service without compensation, without disclosing confidential customer data through that feedback.
9. Third-party services
The Service relies on providers for hosting, authentication, payments, email and AI processing. Connected services may have separate terms. We cannot guarantee their availability. Features may change, and maintenance or interruptions may occur.
10. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access for material violations, nonpayment, security risks or unlawful use. You may stop using the Service at any time; cancel your subscription separately to stop renewal. Provisions concerning intellectual property, disclaimers, liability and disputes survive termination.
11. Warranties and liability
To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided as is and as available, without implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or noninfringement. To the extent permitted by law, ClearCFO is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or lost profits, revenues, data, goodwill or business opportunities. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability or rights that applicable law does not allow to be excluded.
12. Disputes and changes
Contact support@theclearcfo.com so we can attempt to resolve a dispute. Applicable law and courts with lawful jurisdiction govern disputes; these Terms do not impose mandatory arbitration or waive rights that cannot lawfully be waived. We may update these Terms and will provide notice of material changes. Where required, we will obtain renewed acceptance. The effective date identifies the applicable version.
